About Crossroads Parcel Consulting

Approximately five years ago, Perry Lavergne and Dean Maciuba cofounded Crossroads Parcel Consulting. Perry brings over 25 years of experience at Canada Post, where he specialized in parcel analytics.  Dean served FedEx for over 35 years across multiple professional positions in operations, retail marketing, network development, and sales. 

Dean and Perry connected on LinkedIn and quickly realized that collectively, they possessed a unique and broad skill set specific to parcel shipping and the various carriers that support shipping in North America and around the world.  It was also apparent to both that shipping a parcel was getting more complicated and that the cost of shipping was increasing annually at over twice the rate of inflation.  This trend is perplexing, given that the parcel shipping market was growing rapidly and driving greater economies of scale. 

 Shippers, especially larger companies with over $100K annualized spend, require assistance to start shipping smarter. Crossroads Parcel Consulting has successfully identified and addressed this need, allowing the company to thrive in this niche market.

Dean and Perry, while successful, consistently seek opportunities to enhance their client interface and services. It is widely acknowledged that businesses that fail to evolve and adapt to risk obsolescence.  During 2026, we will introduce a new go-to-market strategy that will allow us to more efficiently and quickly put information and data into the hands of our clients that can drive savings and improve the carrier relationship.

Dean Maciuba, Co-Founder of Crossroads Parcel Consulting

Dean is currently the Co-Founder of Crossroads Parcel Consulting,  Previously, he was the Managing Partner, North America, for Last Mile Experts. Dean has also worked for 4Front Consulting Group where he managed general transportation consulting and the design/implementation of cold chain and health care distribution solutions. He also served UPS and FedEx for over 37 years across multiple professional positions in sales, marketing, and operations.

His vast experience allows him to possess a unique and in-depth view into nearly all aspects of the parcel transportation industry, to include the role of parcel transportation/e-commerce fulfillment service providers and Amazon Logistics, in supporting e-commerce.

He is active on global consulting platforms and recognized as a subject matter expert on the impact of e-commerce growth on the parcel transportation industry to include FedEx, UPS, the USPS, and Amazon Logistics. Dean consults on the impact of new technology specific to the transportation service providers, such as autonomous/robotic delivery solutions, the role of PUDO/Access Points in e-commerce delivery and how regulatory initiatives may impact e-commerce and Amazon. He is also popular with the investment community as his opinions are sought regarding the perceived versus actual capabilities and future performance of the parcel transportation carriers based on trends, strengths and weaknesses.
